Canadian Rockies

The Canadian Rockies are so vast and expansive that they are hard to capture on a little iPhone! And kudos to the Canadian government for limiting development to keep the area wild. While many trails at higher elevations were still snowbound, we found many drier trails at lower elevations with views of rivers, lakes, waterfalls, and mountains. The highlight of the trip was driving the Icefields Parkway, named for the Columbia Icefields, which traverses 140 miles of spectacular scenery from Lake Louise to Jasper including mountains, icefields, glaciers, rivers, waterfalls, and wildlife.
